Welcome to the High Country Newfoundland Club Online

The High Country Newfoundland Club (HCNC) encourages and promotes the pure-bred Newfoundland dog. HCNC provides education and information to members, breeders, and all those who love and are loved by these gentle giants

HCNC also maintains a placement network to provide a safe and healthy environment for Newfs in our region.  HCNC's regional territory covers the states of Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming and Utah.  All meetings are held within the state of Colorado.

From the club meeting on May 17, 2009:

The HCNC email list is limited to the following:  announcements, club event information, meetings, recruitment of volunteers, club fund raising, litters, births, brags and deaths.  The list is not meant to be a chat list nor a personal forum.  Congratulations or condolences should be done privately.  Any controversial email shall be sent to the entire HCNC board for approval or reply. If you are not receiving HCNC emails, please contact the club secretary to confirm your email address.

If you want to receive minutes from the club meetings on a regular basis, please send email to the club secretary. Your name will be added to a special email group and you'll get the minutes as soon as they're available.

The premium list for the September water tests is now online. The tests will be held September 18 & 19at Chatfield Reservoir State Park. Entries close Friday, September 10. Earliest postmark for entries is August 4, 2010. Click here for the premium.

Donations to sponsor trophies for the HCNC regional specialty (August 20, 2010 in Greeley) are now being accepted!  Consider making a trophy sponsorship as a tribute to your favorite newf, your breeder or your favorite friends.  Sponsorships range from $22 each to $75 each.  Contact Sue Raney, trophy chairperson, to sponsor a trophy at raneyathome@comcast.net.
